Why this particular picture? It's the day I've never seen my only child so happy. Happy anniversary to my daughter Chantel and her husband Ernie. It's 3 yrs and their still on their honeymoon. The day was overcast with a bit of chill in the air. Waking up that morning, you could feel the excitement all around. The hard work that was put into the wedding definitely paid off. It was absolutely beautiful and fun was had by all.
Something to think about
All parents hope only the best for their children, my husband and I are no exception. We wish for my daughter and her husband joy, happiness and health (and many grandchildren). Chantel and Ernie met at work, fell in love and moved in together within 4 months. They were together for 3 1/2 years prior to getting married, that in itself shows promise of longevity. Statistics being as they are....... My husband Chuck and I have said many times, one of the reason we're still together is because we had something to prove. Chuck and I have been married now for 28 years after only knowing each other for 3 months. Getting married quickly and young, a lot of people said it wouldn't last. We had to prove to the naysayers how wrong they were. Ooooh the pressure. So why is it that some marriages last while others do not. Is it that people are no longer willing to work at what was once important to them? Hmmm.
Hello it's just me
I received a call yesterday but before I talk about it, I have to back up. Last week I decided to clear out all (vm) voice mails from the house phone. One of those messages was from Scott (a new business owner), who was looking for my services (accounting applications). That call had been sitting in my vm for just over a month. I called, apologized and left my # in case he hadn't found anyone. I was floored that he called yesterday. Now to add to my list of things to do, I need to make time for him on Friday. The doors are closing in. I just found out a couple of minutes ago, another client needs help on Friday (of course). From what was described, I'll be there most of the day and meet up with Scott late that afternoon. I have to say... with 2 jobs just days before my trip, it's play money in my pocket. woohoo!!!
Well... I must end here, you know how it is, places to go, people to see and errands to run!
Till the next time.... Tootles
